December 2007 - New Flyers Now Available

December 2007 - "Big Pay Outs Announced"
The Board of Directors of the Louisiana Top Six Association met and announced that there would be a guaranteed $10,000 in prize money for the upcoming Top Six Tournament scheduled for March 28, 29 & 30th, 2008 with a top prize of $6,000.00 being awarded to the First Place club/team.
This is history for this tournament which has been held for 36 straight years and this being the 37th Annual Top Six Tournament. The largest payout so far was last year when First Place received $2,000.00. "We feel that this should peak interest in our tournament and show that we are here to stay", said Jim Evans with the Association.

November 2007 - "New Dates for Upcoming Tourney"
The Top Six Tournament will be held March 28, 29 & 30th, 2008 on Toledo Bend Reservoir. This is pretty much the middle of the spawn and should produce some great stringers. This is the earliest that the Top Six has been held and has been requested by many of those that have fished in the past.
The same schedule will be followed for this tournament with the exception of the dates and the fact that the boat give-a-ways will be divided. The team boat will be given away on Sunday, March 30th at the weigh-in and the raffle boat will be drawn for the first weekend in May in Alexandria.

October 2007 - Bass Cat Official Sponsor
It was announced that BassCat would sign on as an official sponsor and produce two (2) new 2008 BassCat Sabre's fully loaded out with a 150hp EFI Mercury motor. Tickets will be printed and should be ready for clubs mid to end of November 2007. Remember that 60% of all proceeds will benefit The Louisiana State Autism Chapter and 40% will be returned to the clubs selling the tickets to boost their treasuries. This is a fantastic way to put money into an individual club treasury or into a fund to support the club's team fishing in the Top Six Tournament held every year. May 6, 2007 - "Many Wins 5th Top Six Title"

After weighing in a total of 66.50 lbs of bass in two days, Many Bass Club of Many, LA defended the title that they won in 2006. Not only did they defend their 2006 title but managed to make this their 5th win in the 36 years that this tournament has been in existance. Many has set a record that will be looked at for many years down the road or should we say "down the lake".
Coming in 2d was West Central Bass Club with an impressive 59.82 lbs of fish in the two days.
Big bass for the tournament was caught by Richard Peeson of Many and tipped the scales at 7.30 lbs which earned him a check for $484.00.
